What happens when you have a stubborn parent or loved one who needs your help? The idea of providing care for those who believe they don’t need it can come with huge challenges. In the midst of what I call “stubborn-its,” they can add to the stress of caregiving because of their unwillingness to cooperate. Added to that challenge is the pain one can feel watching their loved ones suffer—because of their stubbornness. How do you navigate this? In Chapter Three, I expound on the interactions I had with my mom in hopes that those who struggle with similar issues will realize you are not alone in your endeavor to provide the highest of care to parents or loved ones who are uncooperative or with whom you have had a troubled past. Learn how I chose my battles in order to help my mom find clear answers to the unknown turmoil in her body.
